Turning to God from idols

Last Sunday I preached about Jesus and idols from 1 Thessalonians 1. As promised (but a day late, sorry) here are some resources I've found really helpful on this subject.

• Counterfeit gods by Timothy Keller. Short and easy to read, more helpful on diagnosis than cure. Available from Amazon, etc.
• Idols of the heart and 'Vanity Fair' by David Powlinson. A really interesting article from the Christian counselling perspective.
• Exposing idols by Tom Shaw. Excellent talk on idols and how Jesus smashes them.
