'Did you receive the Holy Spirit?'

These are some resources for a talk I did to students at King's Church about receiving the Holy Spirit.

• At Newday 2009 I spoke about the weirdness that can happen when the Holy Spirit comes, so if you get freaked out that could be a useful listen.

If you want to dig a bit deeper, I've found the following books very helpful. They're all by guys who really love the Bible and who teach that we can experience the Holy Spirit today because that's what the Bible says:

• Surprised by the power of the Spirit and Surprised by the voice of God by Jack Deere
• Joy unspeakable by D. Martyn Lloyd Jones. I enjoyed this book so much I wrote a summary of it here, and posted a load of the amazing stories of people being filled with the Spirit here.
