This week's retweets
One of the things about Twitter that I'm grateful for is how much good stuff it can put before you. This can be an overwhelming experience, similar for me to visiting a well-stocked charity bookshop (each to their own), but at least it's easy to share the goodness by retweeting. For those who stay out of the maddening cave, here's what I've liked this week:
All sources can be found on my Twitter account. I might use shorter links in the future.
- Exploring the Murdoch-related muck in Scotland and in journalism in general.
- Playwright David Hare has a good time interviewing 'God's boxer' Rowan Williams.
- A talk on the Kingdom of God by Dallas Willard that felt beautiful, which isn't a word I'd usually (expect to) use about a preach.
- Manchester City's owners have used one of their other businesses to pay a lot of money to rename their ground the United Stadium, kind of.
- This happened near where I'm about to live!
- MP's have attacked the government's focus on phonics: "The active encouragement of reading for pleasure should be a core part of every child's curriculum entitlement." Weird that we have to reminded of that.
